The story behind Way Films
How It Began
Way Films began when two freshmen in high school — Caleb Pouliot and Keegan Johanson — picked up a camera and never put it down.
At first it was just a name. A YouTube channel. An Instagram page. A place to upload whatever they made — vlogs, short films, documentaries, weddings, music videos, PSA's, hype videos. They created all kinds of content because they loved the craft, and they kept creating relentlessly for years.
In 2020, Way Films became anchored to John 14:6 — "I am the way, the truth, and the life." — Jesus. From that point, film became more than expression. It became storytelling with purpose. Craft rooted in belief.
The Shift
The work became more ambitious. More cinematic.
Projects like Why God, BirdDogs, and Palette of Dreams marked a real turning point. From 2022 to 2026, Way Films remained a personal creative outlet and a place to refine the craft — but the vision was growing beyond what one or two people could carry alone.
Because Way Films was never meant to belong to one person. It was built on collaboration from the beginning. Film is not carried by one name — every department carries it.
